Classical music and slow breathing do wonders for your blood pressure
High blood pressure is very difficult to treat, and prescription medications carry with them a range of side effects. Therefore there is a massive focus on ways to lower blood pressure natural and to achieve the ideal blood pressure. One way I have came across is through a breathing technique called breatheasy which has maximum effect when combined with classical music. Breatheasy involves spending 10-15 minutes a day taking slow deep breaths and prolonging the exhalation. The purpose of this breathing technique is to send a relaxation signal to the brain which causes the blood vessels to relax and widen, meaning that blood can flow throughout the body under less pressure. Breatheasy has been shown to significantly reduce systolic blood pressure by 36 points and diastolic blood pressure by 20 points. The effect is much greater when combined with relaxing music. Classical music has been shown to expand and widen the blood vessels by 26% meaning that this too lowers your blood pressure the natural way. The risk of blood clots is also greatly reduced when blood vessels are wider.
I would advise you to spend 15 minutes each day with this breathing regime whilst listening to some relaxing classical music on your ipod or mp3 player. You are sure to see some positive results.
